What the booking was
In September 2025, Nasdaq’s events team booked a coffee and pastry experience with Pearl Lemon Catering for a corporate occasion in Amsterdam. The format was simple: good coffee and pastries for a corporate audience. The more demanding part of the job came before any coffee was poured.
The real constraint: procurement
For a global listed company, a supplier cannot be paid, and often cannot even be confirmed, until it has been approved through the purchasing system. That process runs on its own timetable and needs company details, banking and compliance information in the right format. A caterer that stalls at this stage can put a date at risk before menus are even discussed.
Pearl Lemon worked with Nasdaq’s marketing, events and finance contacts to complete supplier registration on its procurement platform and secure a purchase order. Onboarding was confirmed by 11 September, leaving the events team free to concentrate on the occasion itself.
Who did what
- Nasdaq: the event, the venue, guests and agenda, and its internal purchasing approvals.
- Pearl Lemon Catering: supplier onboarding, working to the purchase order, and the coffee and pastry service in Amsterdam.
Outcome
Pearl Lemon completed supplier onboarding and delivered the coffee and pastry service for Nasdaq in Amsterdam. We have not published a guest count, the pastry selection or any feedback, because we do not hold those details in a form we can publish.
If your company buys through procurement
Bring the caterer into the process early: ideally when you first hold the date, not when the menu is agreed. Ask whether they can:
- register on your supplier platform and supply the documents it asks for
- work to a purchase order and invoice in the format your finance team needs
- deliver in the city you need, including European locations such as Amsterdam
- confirm the coffee and pastry format, timings and any dietary requirements in writing
Pearl Lemon works with corporate buyers across the UK and Europe. To start, contact our events team or book a call.
Questions buyers ask
Can you cater corporate events in Amsterdam?
Yes. In September 2025 we provided a coffee and pastry service for Nasdaq at a corporate occasion in Amsterdam. We cater events across the UK and Europe and plan logistics for each city as part of the proposal.
Can you register on our corporate procurement platform?
Yes. For Nasdaq we worked with marketing, events and finance contacts to complete supplier registration on their procurement platform and secure a purchase order. Onboarding was confirmed by 11 September, ahead of the event.
How early should we involve the caterer if we buy through procurement?
As early as possible. Supplier approval runs to its own timetable, and nobody can be paid until it is complete. Tell us your platform, purchase order process and invoicing format when you enquire so registration does not hold up the event.
What should we send to quote coffee and pastries for a corporate event?
Send the city and venue, date, service window, expected numbers, any dietary needs and your procurement requirements. We will propose a coffee and pastry format and confirm what is needed to complete onboarding.
