Who, where and when
Meta’s Amsterdam office booked an on-site bubble tea bar for two afternoons, 25 and 27 March 2025, with service from 2pm to 4pm in the office kitchen. The booking was planned for 70 people; that is the planned figure, not a count of guests served, and it does not double across the two days.
What made this brief hard
The bar ran from a working open-plan kitchen, not an event space or kiosk, so it had to fit around colleagues using the room and leave it tidy afterwards. Earlier proposals had discussed branded cups, but the final specification changed to plain recyclable cups, so the plan had to follow the final brief rather than the first idea.
Who did what
- Meta: the table, cloth, power, water, napkins and its own office signage.
- Pearl Lemon Catering: one bubble tea professional, the specialist ingredients and equipment, the cups, straws and stirrers, and tidying the working area afterwards. Setup started at 1:30pm each day.
The drinks and cups
The menu combined passionfruit, mango and strawberry fruit teas with jasmine milk tea, brown sugar milk tea and taro. Tapioca, jelly and popping pearls gave a choice of textures, and plant-based options were available. The cups were 500ml, recyclable, white and unbranded, served with recyclable straws and stirrers.
Outcome
Pearl Lemon ran the bar on both afternoons to the final brief. We do not publish a drinks total or a client quote for this booking.
Planning a drinks bar in an office
- Confirm the room, a table, power and water.
- Decide branded or plain cups early; branded cups need a longer lead time.
- Agree the service window and set-up time.
- Share dietary needs, including plant-based milk.
- Agree who clears up and when.
