Seasonal Corporate Lunches for Marriott: Halloween, Movember and Beyond

The brief
Marriott International wanted a series of themed associate lunches that felt more special than the standard office buffet. The programme began with a Mediterranean/Greek direction in May 2025 and later incorporated Halloween and Movember occasions. The catering needed to be seasonal and playful without becoming overproduced. The source presentation identifies a scale of up to 120 guests, with a working model of three staff per event and access to an on-site kitchen.
The challenge
The challenge was to build personality into a workplace lunch without disrupting the working day. Short service windows create pressure on portioning, presentation and replenishment. Dietary instructions also mattered: the brief included specific exclusions, including kiwi. Each lunch had to feel connected to its theme while staying inside practical budgets and a consistent operational framework.
Our approach
We built the programme around a repeatable buffet service model rather than reinventing every event. Seasonal menus and light décor cues supplied the character; staffing, kitchen access, dietary records and food-service timing supplied the reliability. The Halloween concept included pumpkin curry, BBQ wings, vegan mummy sausage rolls and a spiced apple punch station. The Movember menu moved toward autumn comfort dishes, including beef chilli, sweet potato stew and individual desserts.
How it was delivered
The 29 October Halloween event was organised around a particularly compressed 30-minute lunch period, with a plan for 120 people. The 18 November Movember programme had a later, more extended midday service schedule. Visual details—from themed labels to restrained table accessories—were integrated into the buffet presentation, but the hospitality remained suitable for a professional workplace rather than becoming a standalone theatrical production.
The outcome
The client-facing PDF describes the seasonal series as successfully delivered and identifies the Halloween drink station as popular. It also includes a ‘zero complaints’ assertion, but the underlying complaint log is not supplied; we do not use that claim as a verified metric. Likewise, 120 represents the source’s event-scale figure, not an audited headcount for every lunch. The strongest case is the repeatable seasonal format and its ability to adapt to very different menus and service windows.
What this means for your event
For employee engagement, workplace recognition and recurring office events, organisers benefit from a reliable catering structure with enough creative range to keep it fresh. This programme demonstrates how themed menus can be delivered as a repeatable workplace service rather than requiring a new production process each time.
