Who, where and when
STAR Capital planned a relaxed team Oktoberfest in its office at 33 Cavendish Square, London, on 23 October 2025, so colleagues could join an after-work gathering without leaving the building. Pearl Lemon Catering supplied the German-inspired food and delivered it for about 25 planned guests.
What made this brief hard
The client did not want waiting staff on site or chafing dishes to manage, so hot food had to arrive hot and ready to serve. The office is on the fifteenth floor, and the building’s loading arrangement can be confusing. The menu also changed several times, and the last change came shortly before the event.
Who did what
- STAR Capital: the drinks, decorations, games and tableware.
- Pearl Lemon Catering: the hot food, insulated packaging, labelling and delivery to the fifteenth floor.
The final menu and how it travelled
After several revisions, the client confirmed a hot Gold-menu drop-off. It included currywurst, Nürnberg-style sausages, pork belly, sliders, pretzels, braised red cabbage, German potato salad, a vegan mushroom stroganoff and an autumn dessert selection. A gluten-free requirement was agreed in advance and labelled on the day. The hot food travelled in insulated disposable trays, ready to serve. The team asked for a video of the route through the building and agreed the handover method in advance, with food planned to be ready between 5:30pm and 6:00pm.
Outcome
The food was delivered within the agreed evening window, and the client’s feedback on the service was positive. The client also raised two fair points: communication during the menu changes could have been clearer, and the dessert selection could have been stronger. We have taken both on board, and we publish them because they are part of what happened.
Planning an office celebration
- Decide early whether you want staff on site or a drop-off.
- Lock the menu as early as you can; late changes affect timing.
- Send the delivery route, floor and loading details, ideally with a video.
- Tell us who supplies drinks, tableware and decorations.
- List dietary needs, so they can be labelled.

Questions buyers ask
Can you deliver a hot buffet without staff or chafing dishes?
Yes. For STAR Capital's office Oktoberfest the food arrived hot in insulated disposable trays, ready to serve, because the client did not want waiting staff or equipment to manage. It was a drop-off with a short setup and handover.
What was on the Oktoberfest menu?
The final hot menu included currywurst, Nürnberg-style sausages, pork belly, sliders, pretzels, braised red cabbage, German potato salad, a vegan mushroom stroganoff and an autumn dessert selection. A gluten-free requirement was discussed in advance and labelled on the day.
How do you deliver to a high floor with tricky loading?
We agree the route in advance. STAR Capital's office is on the fifteenth floor of 33 Cavendish Square, so the team asked for a route video and agreed the handover method before the event, with food planned to be ready between 5:30pm and 6:00pm.
Who supplied drinks and decorations?
STAR Capital provided its own drinks, decorations, games and tableware. Pearl Lemon's role was the German-inspired food and its delivery for around 25 planned guests. Tell us what you will supply yourselves and we will quote only the food or the full package.
