The brief
On 17 February 2026, catering partner &Dine contacted Pearl Lemon about a bubble-tea requirement for an OpenTable workplace celebration later that week. The brief was for approximately 100 people and delivery was arranged for 19 February. The theme was Lunar New Year—the Year of the Horse—so the drinks needed to feel compatible with a vibrant workplace display, while offering meaningful choice across milk and fruit tea styles.
The challenge
The tight lead time left little room for extended sampling or a complex custom build. Ingredients, cup preparation, dietary information and central London transport all had to be confirmed promptly. The delivery location had access constraints, and route disruptions arose on the day. The drinks also needed to be easy for guests to select without creating a live preparation queue or a menu dominated by dairy-based options.
Our approach
Pearl Lemon designed a four-choice offer: Brown Sugar Classic Milk Tea, Matcha Milk Tea, Passion Fruit Tea and Lychee Tea. The milk drinks used tapioca pearls; the fruit teas used popping boba. The selection included vegan fruit teas and gluten-free options as specified in the original menu. The team prepared the drinks in a format suitable for organised drop-off, with dietary information communicated to the catering partner.
How it was delivered
The order was confirmed and made ready for the 19 February workplace event. The driver and on-site team coordinated access despite the local route obstruction. Post-event imagery sent by the client-side team shows orderly rows of colourful drinks within a red-and-gold Year of the Horse presentation. Pearl Lemon supplied the drinks; the archive does not prove that the company created or installed the wider decorations or themed boards.
The outcome
The source documents a 100-person requirement, four drink choices and a two-day enquiry-to-delivery window. The &Dine contact sent photos and videos afterwards and wrote, ‘everyone loved them :)’. No formal survey, individual flavour take-up figures or exact consumption total was collected. The evidence supports a successful fast-turnaround beverage delivery and positive organiser feedback, not invented attendee statistics.
What this means for your event
For office celebrations, employee-engagement days and calendar-led catering, the product should serve the occasion without becoming a logistical project of its own. A thoughtful four-flavour menu and pre-prepared drinks can create an attractive hospitality moment when the schedule is compressed.
